TLS signed “T. Roosevelt,” one page, 8 x 10.5, December 2, 1898. Brief letter typed at the top of a handwritten letter to Roosevelt from B. F. Cronkite seeking a position in the Insurance Department. Roosevelt responds: “I will carefully consider your application.” In very good condition, with a few small separations along intersecting folds, scattered toning, and light overall feathering to Cronkite’s handwritten letter.
